NLA announces joining PIA rallies
From Our Correspondent
MULTAN: The National Labour Alliance has announced joining the PIA protest and directed workers to take part in rallies at the district level.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, NLA chairman Ghazi Ahmed Hassan Khokhar condemned the killing of PIA workers in Karachi and said that the NLA was at the disposal of the PIA Joint Action Committee. He said that organising committees had been formed in Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rahimyar Khan districts to ensure participation of maximum number of workers in the PIA rallies. He said that the NLA had also constituted a committee to meet the labour unions across the country, asking them to join the PIA rallies. He said that imposition of Essential Services Act in the PIA was unjustified and it was a conspiracy against the employees, who were struggling for their rights.
