DCO announces observing Gogera Week

OKARA: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Sucrat Aman Rana Wednesday announced observing Gogera Week from the next week.
Addressing the TMA staff during his visit to the TMA Gogera, the DCO asked the TMA staff to pay complete attention to the problems of the visitors.
He said the next week would be the Gogera Week and staff of all departments would remain present at the TMA during the week to resolve problems of the masses with due respect.
The DCO asked the staff to pay keen interest in resolving issues such as removing encroachments, rectifying sewerage system, renovating and restoring water filtration plant.
He directed the TMA to increase strength of sanitary workers from 5 to 20.
MNA Chaudhry Nadeem Abbas Rubera, who was with the DCO, also spoke.
Tariq Mehmood TMO, TOR Malik Makhdoom, TOP Muhammad Usman and Engineer Rana Sohaib were also present.
EXCISE INSPECTOR HELD: An Excise Inspector was arrested accepting bribes.
Muhammad Ashraf Bhatti demanded Rs 20,000 from Wasim Ahmad, an employee of a private company. The inspector threatened Wasim that if he did not pay the amount he would disturb his contract of bricking the canal.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment officer Abdul Ghaffar Khan arrested the inspector and registered a case.
