Man recovered from illegal police confinement

FAISALABAD: On the orders of Additional Sessions Judge Malik Ali Raza Awan, court bailiff Attiqur Rehman on Wednesday recovered a man from illegal confinement of Mansoorabad police station.
The bailiff raided the police station and recovered Muhammad Usman of Madina Town from the room of ASI Sakhawat Ali, who had illegally confined him without registration of any case. The bailiff produced Usman before the judge, who released him. Earlier, Muhammad Suleman in a petition alleged that police had illegally arrested his brother Usman.
MAN MURDERED: A man was murdered over a land dispute at Chak 273/RB.
Muhammad Umair was allegedly shot dead by Muhammad Iqbal and others. Before fleeing, the accused also resorted to aerial firing, which inflicted critical injuries to Rashid Ahmad. Thikriwala police have registered a murder case.
