KARACHI: The PHF has appointed Olympian Naveed Alam as director domestic development.
Naveed has worked hard at the grassroots level for a long time with PHF and on his own. He was a sharp critic of the policies of previous PHF managements, which according to him resulted in Pakistan’s failure to qualify for World Cup 2014 and Rio Olympics 2016.
Sources said the appointment of Naveed showed that PHF did not want confrontation with former Olympians and international players and would welcome those who wanted to work for the betterment of the national game. The sources said that in the coming days some more appointments would be made for running the game smoothly across the country.
