With the American presidential election just around the corner there is a lot of hype being generated in the media as to who the next president of the United States will be, and what the implications of this change be for us.
Experience and history shows that there has been no drastic change in American policies with a change in presidents. Their national interests, right or wrong from our point of view, are always paramount and do not change just because there is a change in command. As far as we are concerned, there is a dire need to forge internal political cohesion and put our own house in order. Who becomes the US president should not worry us.
