The Pakistan Super League kicks off from tomorrow. The moment every Pakistani was waiting for has finally arrived. With five teams playing in its first edition, the tournament will surely be a delight for cricket fans. After years of speculations, talks and facing stiff challenges, the Pakistan Cricket Board has finally breathed new life into Pakistan’s domestic cricket.
The PCB has done a commendable job by organising the event, but its job is far from over. The board has to make sure that the PSL is on a par with T20 league matches and is able to fill cricket fans’ appetite. The response the PSL gets from people in its first edition is crucial for its future. Only after being accepted by the people will the PSL be able to bear the fruits it is expected to.
