LAHORE
Families thronged the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre to participate in the hospital’s second annual family festival “Fitness Fiesta”. The resounding success shows public growing awareness of a healthy lifestyle as well as the commitment to the hospital’s cause.
According to a press release issued on Monday, the visitors enjoyed the activities set out for the day event, especially the food stalls by Khalis Food Market and 180 degrees boot camp.
People took keen interest in locally grown fresh produces, dairy products; fitness corner with activities including boot camp, pro-fit and yoga sessions for the people of all age groups.
Free health and fitness consultations were also offered to visitors allowing them to check their BMI, blood pressure, sugar level and nutritional consultations.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO of hospital Dr. Faisal Sultan said activities like this festival where one could learn about the healthy lifestyle were very important for our busy lives as we seldom gave attention to ourselves.
Looking at this year's participation, the hospital has planned to increase the area for next festival so that there are more activities and more features to make people aware of their health while having fun and enjoyment.
