In an operation at the city's port on Monday, the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) ,Sindh, recovered a sizeable consignment of heroin from a Colombo-bound container.
As per a press release ,an intelligence based operation was conducted by an ANF team at the PICT port and a total of 21 kilograms of high quality heroin, worth millions of dollars in the international market, were found in a container of henna packets. The narcotics were said to have been concealed in the henna packets.
The statement further said that a case has been registered against absconders and raids were being conducted in various areas of the country to apprehend the syndicate involved in the smuggling bid.

An official of the Pakistan Rangers, Sindh died on Monday after he accidentally shot himself, police said.
According to the SHO of the Airport police, a Rangers sepoy, Misal Jan khan, of the 93 Wing suffered fatal injuries when his official rifle went off accidentally. He was taken to a hospital for treatment but succumbed to his wounds.
