Four suspects held with weapons in search operation

MULTAN: The joint teams of the Pak Army and police on Saturday conducted search operations in various areas and arrested four suspected persons and recovered weapons from them.
A spokesman for the Multan CPO Inspector Rana Zaheeruddin Babar said that the crackdown was conducted on the order of CPO Azhar Akram and the teams searched houses in Qutabpur, Arjwine Sharif, Muhammadpur Ghotha, Qasim Bela and Cantonment areas. He told that the teams cordoned off the whole areas and conducted house to house search and arrested four suspects and recovered weapons and a without number plate bike from them. The suspects were shifted to undisclosed location, he added. He told that CPO Azhar Akram monitored the operation and ordered the cops for adopting effective strategy during thee search operations to unearth networks of terrorists as well as criminals. Meanwhile, a meeting of the heads of public and private educational institutions was held at the Multan Emerson College. Speaking on the occasion, Gulgasht SP Asif Bhugio said that the entire nation was united against terrorism. The police and the whole security network were very much committed to counter terrorists, he added. The SP said that the police had completed all security measures to avoid any untoward incident. He said that the administration of schools and colleges would be responsible of preventing students from other activities. He said that the personnel of QRF, Elite Force and police would remain present around educational institutions round the clock to provide security.
