Walk held for flu awareness

FAISALABAD: The DHQ hospital Friday arranged a walk to raise awareness about influenza disease.
The walk led by PMC Vice-Principal Dr Faisal Muhammad Ali Tirmizi started from main building of the DHQ hospital and culminated at Kidney Centre after passing through different routes.
MS DHQ Hospital Dr Abdul Rauf and Additional MS Dr Habib Butter, Prof Amir Shaukat, Dr Muhammad Irfan, Dr Akmal Sharif, Dr Usman, doctors, paramedical staff and members of civil society attended the walk. The participants were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against flu, its symptoms and precautions. Addressing the participants Dr Tirmizi said influenza disease was curable if the patient take precautionary measures and reach hospital on time. He also mentioned some precautionary steps. Dr Rauf said the patient should contact the government hospitals in case of having symptoms of influenza.
