WCLA photo contest
LAHORE
The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has completed its arrangements for its three-day long Wekh Lahore Photo Contest and Exhibition to be held on 8th of February 2016.
Officials said this exhibition would continue for three days at the Alhamra Arts Council, The Mall. The Wekh Lahore Photo Contest and Exhibition is primarily for the young photographers and the lovers of the city Lahore.
They said there were three categories in the Wekh Lahore Photo Contest and Exhibition which included architecture, street life and monuments. Most of the pictures received are of the architecture and monuments. Director General WCLA Kamran Lashari said this was a mega event of the authority which was held every year. “I wish all the participants best of luck and appreciate them for their enthusiastic participation,” he said. Asif Zaheer, Director Marketing WCLA, said there was a huge range of prizes this time and I hoped nobody would go without a prize. We are thankful to our sponsors who have with an open heart accepted the collaboration. Let’s see who are the lucky ones who take these prizes with them. Tania Qureshi said this time we would be displaying a large number of pictures and maybe we would be breaking our own records. The Wekh Lahore Photo Contest and Exhibition will be now held on 8th of February and the announcement of the awards will be on the same day at 4:00pm.
