KARACHI: Ihsanullah, the top scorer of the National Hockey Championship, was ignored when the team for South Asian Games was finalised on Wednesday.
He has not even been included among the stand-by players.
The PHF had stated that those who played well in domestic hockey would be considered for the national team. But in case of Ihsanullah, the PHF’ selection committee did not abide by its commitment.
The trials to select Pakistan Whites were held at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium on Tuesday.
Chairman selection committee Rasheed Junior failed to reach Karachi on Wednesday as well. Selectors Qasim Khan and Saeed Khan were also not present during the trials.
