DCO orders closure of UoE Okara campus for poor security

OKARA: Acting Regional Police Officer (RPO) Muhammad Faisal Rana and District Coordination Officer (DCO) Sucrat Aman Rana Monday together visited educational institutions in the district.
The DCO ordered closure of University of Education (UoE), Okara Campus, for poor security arrangements and directed the administration to improve their security then open the varsity. The RPO inspected weapons of security guards and restricted cultivation of any kind of crops within 300 meters around the campus. He watched rehearsal of use of panic button given to principals. CCTV cameras were also checked. The RPO and DCO asked administration of educational institutions to improve security system and it would be inspected the next day.
RESCUE-1122 TRAINING: The Rescue-1122 undertook a student’s security training programme in the district. Rescue-1122 District Officer Zafar Iqbal said this on Monday. He said the Rescue Security Officer Ayesha Sohail and subordinate crew would conduct the training programme in two phases. In the first phase the students of educational institutions would be provided security safety training, and in the second phase the boys and girls students would undergo the security and safety training.
