Security tightened at 56 institutions

MULTAN: The security has been tightened at 56 educational institutions in the district on Monday.
Talking to heads of educational institutions in a meeting, DCO Zahid Salim Gondal said security guards have been provided to all educational institutions.
He said all schools and colleges have been ranked in category ‘A’ plus and security stiffened to foil any untoward incident of terrorism.
He said hidden enemy wanted to create fear in minds of future doctors, lawyers, engineers and intelligentsia to prevent the country from the track of development.
The DCO warned a stern action against educational institutions heads if security steps were not taken in an appropriate way.
He asked the EDO (Education) to submit fresh security audit report of all schools.
The DCO also ordered a crack-down on brick kiln owners who are involved in bonded labour.
He said several kilns were sealed over violation of child protection Ordinance.
He said 200 kilns have been sealed across the province and more than 350 owners were booked. The DCO also constituted special teams headed by Assistant Commissioners to raid kilns.
