MSF rally against attack on Bacha Khan University

MULTAN: Activists of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF) on Wednesday staged a demonstration at Chowk Nawan Shehr and later take out a rally to condemn the attack of terrorists on the Bacha Khan University, Charsadda.
The students chanted slogans against the terrorists and their facilitators and demanded strict punishment for them. The students expressed their firm resolve to defeat terrorism and militancy. They also expressed their solidarity with the families of the victims. Later, they prayed for the departed souls of teachers, students and security guards. Meanwhile, strict security arrangements were adopted at the Bahauddin Zakariya University and local colleges to avert any untoward incident. The administration of the local colleges asked the students to go back their homes. The people from different walks of life, including religious leaders, politicians, civil society activists, businessmen and traders, strongly condemned the attack on the Bacha Khan University and demanded crackdown against the terrorists. Shiite Ulema Council Multan Division president Allama Syed Mujahid Abbas Gardezi condemned the terrorists attack and said that it was a great tragedy and terrorists should be dealt with iron hands. He said that the terrorists targeted the Bacha Khan University where innocent students were getting education. He paid tribute to the security forces for sacrificing their lives for the future of next generations. Meanwhile, the Anjuman Talba Islam announced three days mourning against the attack. MCCI president Fareed Mughees also condemned the coward attack of the terrorists and said that the business community was standing with the government and the Pak Army in this situation.
