‘Security around educational institutes enhanced’

JHANG: The law enforcing agencies and police have enhanced security and patrolling around educational institutions.
It was said by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) District Officer DSP Wajid Bharwana while addressing a meeting held to review security arrangements of the colleges at the Deputy Director Colleges Sharif Khan office on Wednesday. The DSP said that the security of educational institutes was beefed up in the light of recent threats to educational institutions. The DSP issued necessary instructions to the principals of male and female colleges of the district. He said that all security forces were at high alert to tackle any kind of emergency situation. He asked the administration of the colleges not to allow any person without proper body search and identification. He said that the heads of educational institutions must check weapons of shooters deployed at the front roofs of the colleges.
Dist admin asked to monitor safety measures of factories

JHANG: Punjab Industries Department Secretary Nabeel Javed has directed the district administration to ensure monitoring of all sugar mills and factories regarding proper safety measures.
He issued these instructions after visiting a sugar mill of Shorkot where eight labourers had died in an accident. DCO Nadir Chattha told the secretary that legal action would be taken against the mill management in the light of the report of the probing committing.
