From Our Correspondent

MULTAN: MNA Malik Amir Dogar of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has criticised the government for its failure to curb the sale of substandard gas cylinders, which are claiming human lives.

Talking to newsmen during his visit to the Nishtar Hospital to inquire after the family members, who were injured in a cylinder explosion, on Tuesday, he said that the domestic consumers had been facing gas loadshedding for the last six months. He said that the gas loadshedding had forced the people to buy substandard gas cylinders as quality cylinders were not available in the market. He said that the substandard cylinders were a serious threat to the lives and properties of the people.

On Monday night, nine members of a family were present in the house when a gas cylinder suddenly exploded at Qaisarabad. As a result, two people, including three-year-old Khizar Hayat, were killed on the spot while seven others were injured.
