Six awarded death on three counts for triple murder

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalnagar District and Sessions Judge Nisar Ahmad on Tuesday awarded death sentence on three counts and Rs 200,000 fine each to six accused in a triple murder case registered with Dharanwala police station.
According to the prosecution, convicts Shaukat, Shafiq, Zaheer, Attaullah, Saleem and Asif had murdered a man, his son and daughter-in-law over a property dispute at Chak 114, Murad, on May 15, 2011.
MAN CONFESSES TRIPLE MURDER: A man has confessed to killing his wife and two step-daughters.
The bodies of Ayesha, her 10-year-old daughter Areeba and seven-year-old daughter Sonia were recovered from Tabasum Shaheed police limits four days ago. On Tuesday, police arrested Iqbal Sonara on suspicion, who confessed to committing the crime. He said that he killed his second wife Ayesha and her daughters for honour.
