MANSEHRA: The opposition members said on Monday district nazim and naib nazim had failed to secure vote of confidence from the district council.

Talking to reporters, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Zar Gul Khan said the convener of district council Murtaza Tanoli had summoned budget session on December 21 last year but according to the Local Government Act, the council failed to pass the budget with a simple majority.

The opposition parties had filed a requisition asking the nazim and naib nazims to seek the vote of confidence after failing to get the budget passed from the district council. But convener of district council Murtaza Tanoli didn’t summon council meeting to seek vote of confidence even after seven days of the fling of the requisition.  The deputy commissioner of Mansehra later sought approval of the budget from chief minister after district government/ council failed to get it approved.
