Protest in Jhang against arrest of two people in murder case
JHANG: The family members of two youngsters who were arrested by the police in a murder case on Saturday protested in front of the DPO Office here. The mothers, wives, sisters and children of the arrested persons while protesting said that the FIR of murder of Prof Azhar Khan Sial was lodged against unknown killers but the police, without having any evidence and witnesses, arrested Amir Sohail and Shahzad Imran. They said both persons were innocent and were never involved in any dacoity and murder case. Meanwhile, DPO Humayun Masood while addressing a press conference claimed that the police had traced the blind murder case of Govt Postgraduate College Prof Azhar Khan Sial who was shot dead during a dacoity incident on Nov 16, 2015. The DPO said that the police had lodged an FIR against unknown killers and with the help of eyewitnesses, sketches of the accused were made and after two months’ struggle, the police succeeded in arresting the accused Amir Sohail and Shahzad Imran. The police also recovered weapons from them, he added.
