LANDIKOTAL: The officials recovered three kilograms of heroin and foreign currency during checking at Torkham border and arrested two Afghan nationals, officials said on Sunday.
“Three kilograms of heroin were recovered from one Welas Khan,” Political Tehsildar Shamsul Islam told this scribe by phone. The heroin was being smuggled from Afghanistan to Pakistan, he added. The official added that 1,90,000 Saudi riyals were recovered from the luggage of one Shafiqullah of Afghanistan. Both the arrested persons were shifted to the lock-up in Landikotal for investigation, the official added.
