JHANG: The District Bar Association’s annual elections will be held on January 18.
The polls would be conducted by former election commission.
On January 9, Farid Nawaz, a candidate for the slot of president challenged the voters list. Then the Punjab Bar Council postponed the elections till the revision of the voters list.
Sufi Sanaullah and Fraid Nawaz are contesting for the slot of president, Tariq Yasin and Kamran Bokahri for vice-president and Hasham and Miqdad Khan for the slot of secretary
ET disqualifies PML-N MPA

JHANG: An election tribunal on Thursday disqualified PP-78 MPA Rashida Yaqoob Sheikh of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and ordered re-election in the constituency.
Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi and others had filed petitions against Rashida Yaqoob, alleging that she concealed facts while filing nomination papers.
Meanwhile, talking to newsmen, Rashida Yaqoob said that she had decided to challenge the ET decision in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Her spouse former MPA Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob said that the PML-N leadership had also allowed them to challenge the ET decision.
