Youth burnt alive under mysterious circumstances

JHANG: A youth was burnt alive under mysterious circumstances at Basti Ali Muhammad Arain on Wednesday.

The family members of Nasir Abbas, who was sleeping alone in his house, told that some unknown persons burnt Nasir alive by throwing petrol on him. Nasir Abbas was shifted to the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, but he succumbed to injuries. The family members said that Nasir had divorced his wife two years ago and might be her brothers allegedly killed Nasir in revenge. On the other hand, neighbours of Nasir told reporters that the parents of Nasir’s former wife had decided second marriage of their daughter and she was also first cousin of the deceased. The Satellite Town police have started investigation.

SHAH JEWANA RHC VISITED: On the directions of Punjab Ombudsman Javed Mehmood, District Advisor to Ombudsman Ubaidullah Sial on Wednesday visited the Rural Health Centre, Shah Jewana.

He discussed in details with patients and their attendants about problems being faced by them during treatment. He also inspected wards and other facilities besides getting information from staff of the RHC for improvement in patients’ healthcare. Senior Medical Officer Shahadat Bukhari was also present.
