Nephews of former, sitting MPAs injured in Hangu clash

HANGU: The nephews of a sitting and former member provincial assembly sustained injuries in an exchange of fire in the Qazi Pump area, police said on Wednesday.

They said that the nephew of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA), Shah Faisal Khan, who belongs to the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and former MPA Attiqur Rehman traded fire as they came across each other in the Qazi Pump area in Hangu.

They said that Majid Saleem, the nephew of lawmaker Shah Faisal and Attiqur Rehman’s nephew Abdul Nasir sustained injuries in the incident.The injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Hangu where the doctors referred them to hospitals in Kohat and Peshawar district. The hospital sources said the condition of both the injured was stable and they were out of danger.

There has been a feud between the two families since long. The family of MPA Shah Faisal had filed the murder case of his brother Farid Khan against Attiqur Rehman and his brothers.Unidentified person had shot dead MPA Farid Khan in 2013.Later, Farid Khan’s family got registered the murder case against the former MPA Attiqur Rehman and others.
