Haripur police accused of destroying evidence
HARIPUR: Mother of a teenage girl, who was allegedly attempted to molest by cops, on Tuesday accused the local police of destroying the evidence and pressurising the family for reaching an agreement.
Sajida Bibi, mother of the victim, told a press conference that the medical reports regarding rape of her daughter were positive, which were allegedly changed by the police. She said that Saeed of anti-terrorism police squad wanted to make friendship with her daughter, which they rejected several times.
However, the accused managed to get the cell number of the victim somehow and started visiting their house frequently along with his friend Raja Yasir whom he introduced as a DSP.She alleged that on Sunday morning when she went to a hospital for her medical checkup, the accused Raja Yasir took her daughter to a deserted place in the name of shopping and molested her sexually along with Saeed.
The woman appealed to the higher authorities to provide them justice besides taking stern action against the accused. It may be added that City police have earlier on the complaint of the victim arrested the cops on charges of attempting to rape a girl.
