A total of 78 people, said to be attempting to illegally cross over into Iran, were arrested by the Pakistan Coast Guards on Tuesday. The group, which included 19 Afghan nationals, four Iranians and 55 Pakistanis, was intercepted by PCG teams near the Shahjahan check post along the Coastal Highway, near Gwadar. There were similar arrests all through the past year as well and PCG officials said the arrested people were trying to cross over into Iran without valid documents.
