Faisalabad beat Mardan in Inter-Board thriller
KARACHI: Faisalabad beat Mardan in a nail-biting match by three wickets and Karachi outclassed Larkana by nine wickets in the All-Pakistan Inter-Board T20 cricket championship here on Tuesday at Asghar Ali Shah stadium.
Batting first, Mardan Board were bundled out for 130 runs. Wasim Khan played an impressive innings of 53.
Faisalabad made a disastrous start as they lost six wickets for only 44. But Ali Hasnain and Navaid rescued their team from the clutches of defeat. Ali played a sensible knock of 73. The duo scored 63 runs together.
Larkana batted first and perished for 94. Ali Hyder was the lone fighter, scoring 41. Four of Larkana’s batsmen got run out. Alam took two wickets.
Karachi achieved the target for the loss of one wicket. Hammad Alam (54) batted well. Ashiq made 35.
