DBA strike enters 2nd day

JHANG: Strike of the DBA against interference of the Punjab Bar Council member in the bar elections entered the second day here on Monday.
In a statement here, DBA secretary Amir Naul alleged that the PBC member got an election commission member changed. He said that polling was under way on January 9 when confusion was created and the elections were postponed to avoid defeat of the candidate having support of the PBC member.
2 KILLED, 3 HURT IN ACCIDENTS: Two people were killed while three others sustained injuries in separate road accidents here on Monday.
Muhammad Imran and his two friends were on their way by a motorcycle-rickshaw when a car hit their vehicle near Adda Mehram Sial on Jhang-Shorkot Road. As a result, Imran died on the spot while two others sustained injuries. In the second accident, Asad and Manzoor were on way home when a truck hit their motorcycle near Adda Haveli Bahadur Shah on Jhang-Multan Road. As a result, Asad died on the spot and Manzoor received critical injuries.
