PESHAWAR: Part of its world tour, the World T-20 Trophy Monday reached Pakistan for a two-day trip and was unveiled at a simple ceremony in the Army Public School, Peshawar.
Captain of Pakistan’s One-Day International team Azhar Ali, representative of International Cricket Council’s Marketing Section Raymond, staff and students of the school attended the ceremony.
The trophy would reach Lahore today (Tuesday) wherefrom it would be taken to Bangladesh.
Speaking at the ceremony, Azhar Ali expressed the optimism that Pakistan would win the trophy. He said Pakistan’s team had all the talent to win the next T-20 tournament.
The trophy is having a tour of 12 countries that would take part in the next T-20 world cup from March 11 to April 3 in India.
The world tour of the trophy started from Scotland on December 13, last year and it would come to an end in India on February 1.
