Anti-polio drive begins
LAHORE
City District Government has kicked off anti-polio drive in the provincial capital with a target to administer drops to 1.6 million children.
The drive was launched by DCO Lahore here on Monday. The three-day polio eradication drive will be carried out by 4,200 polio team, which will administer polio drops to 1.6 million under five years of age children. In this regard, District Coordination Officer Lahore Capt (R) Muhammad Usman visited Chah Pachwarra UC-69 to check and inspect the performance of polio teams. He also went door to door in a street and himself administered polio vaccine drops to household under five-year children. He also administered anti-polio drops to dozens of school children. The DCO appealed to the parents to administer polio drops to their children and cooperate with polio teams.
