2 bikers killed in accident

BAHAWALPUR: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident near Chishtian on Sunday.
Bashir Ahmad and Ghulam Ali of Chak Abdullah were on their way by a bike when a speeding milk tanker hit them near Chak Abdullah Adda. As a result, both bikers died on the spot. Later, the driver of the tanker also injured as the tanker rammed into a roadside tree.
DACOITS LOOT CASH, VALUABLES: Dacoits looted cash, cell phones and other valuables from various passers-by and passengers of buses near Faiz Wah on Saturday night.
The dacoits set up a picket on Ahmadpur East-Uch Sharif Road and snatched cash, cell phones and other valuables from the passengers of buses. They also tortured of the passengers on resistance. Later, the passengers of the buses and other victims staged a demonstration against the police and blocked traffic on the road. They demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and recovery of their looted valuables. Later, Sadar Ahmadpur East police registered a case. It is pertinent to mention here that 10 to 12 armed gangsters are involved in various dacoity and robbery incidents in the district and they looted three houses on Thursday night. Meanwhile, RPO Ehsan Sadiq while taking notice of the incidents gave ultimatum to the police and ordered immediate arrest of the dacoits within next 48 hours. Meanwhile, Patrolling Police SP Asif Ansari suspended Jabbar Shaheed Checkpost incharge sub-inspector Anees Ahmad and three other cops for negligence. All the suspended cops are called by the Patrolling Police DIG to inquire into the matter on Monday (today) in Lahore.
