The expulsion of Syed Kashan Haider Gilani from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (he was later reinstated) is a breach of his fundamental right of freedom of speech and expression.
Even if he posted some comments on his Facebook account that did not go well with the university administration, there was no justification for the administration to take this extreme step. For Kashan Gilani is not an ordinary student. He is a gold medallist. Such extreme actions retard the development of progressive thinking in students.
