RPO for action plan over negative use of social media
MULTAN: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Khurram Ali said the police officers should ensure access of common man to their offices to provide justice as per law. Addressing police officials here on Saturday, Khuram said an action plan should be devised to curb negative use of social media, and action should be taken against those who highlight negative trends on social media, as per prescribed cybercrime law. Social media innovations have opened new dimensions which need an action plan for its positive use, he added. In developing countries like Pakistan, there is a lack of code of conduct and people are not aware of the positive use of this platform, he maintained, adding that all possible steps should be taken to protect the lives and property of the people by cracking down on different mafias. The meeting was attended by CPO Multan Munir Masood Marth, DPO Vehari Amir Abdullah Niazi, DPO Khanewal Muhammad Ali Wasim, DPO Lodhran Abdul Rauf Babar Qaisarani, Assistant Director Abdul Rahim, Personnel Staff Officer Muhammad Yusuf Bhatti and other officers.
