ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has tested positive for coronavirus, the party’s spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed Wednesday.
Maryam has gone into self-quarantine after testing positive, Aurangzeb said as she appealed to people to pray for the PML-N leader and other people infected with the virus. Notable Pakistani politicians, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, and Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar had tested positive and recovered from the virus. On the other hand, 44 fatalities were reported and 4,119 people tested positive due to coronavirus during 24 hours in the country.
