Development package for Okara soon: CM
LAHORE:Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited Okara and offered fateha at the tomb of Mir Chakar Rind Baloch at Satghara.
Talking to the media, the CM said the phase-I of Satghara Road had been completed and the phase-II would also be completed very soon. He said a heavy package had been prepared for Okara that would be announced very soon.
The CM also viewed the beautification projects and inaugurated plantation campaigns by planting a tree in the district. He issued directions to the officers concerned on public complaints and said construction of Syedwala link road be completed as soon as possible. He also assured the public that the Okara City DHQ Hospital would be upgraded to A-grade hospital.
At the city rest house while the CM was departing in his car, an elderly woman came in front of his vehicle weeping badly.
The CM listened to the woman and directed DPO Faisal Shahazad to solve her problem immediately. The CM pleased the journalists by short talk about the journalists’ colony. The CM also planted a tree in the rest house enclosure. At a short notice of CM’s arrival, the administration had arranged to clean the city roads.
The district administration and police made excellent security arrangements during the CM’s visit. Provincial Minister for Human Rights Augustin Ijaz Alam, PTI District General Secretary Chaudhry Tariq Irshad, West Punjab PTI Worker’s Ittehad President Rao Muhammad Wajdaanur Rahman, party workers and the elite remained present with the CM.
APP ADDS: The chief minister also paid surprise visits to Mian Channu and Khanewal cities to check the cleanliness situation and performance of the administration.During a stopover at Mian Channu on way to Multan, CM visited different parts of the city and checked urban facilities.
Later, the chief minister drove to Khanewal city where he visited People’s Colony and other areas.He expressed his pleasure saying that he was happy to note better cleanliness in Mian Channu and Khanewal cities and urban facilities. He said that deputy commissioner Khanewal Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi and administration deserves commendation for better cleanliness in the two cities.
Later, the chief minister reached Khanewal circuit house where he opened a monsoon plantation by planting a sapling there. He met with PTI workers and leaders and promised to solve problems being faced by the people. He said that he was visiting different districts and towns for better insight into people’s problems and reiterated commitment to resolve them on priority. Later, the CM proceeded to Multan.
