MULTAN: The South Punjab Health Department has planned an extensive drive against measles-rubella in November and the preparations in this regard were underway to achieve the target.
South Punjab Director General Health Services Dr Khalil Ahmed said the measles-rubella catch-up campaign in November 2021 shall be made fully successful in South Punjab districts. Speaking at micro-planning TOT workshop on measles rubella catch-up drive Punjab 2021l, he said training of master trainers was key to develop quality micro plans required for the campaign success. The activity is supported by the World Health Organisation.
Director Expanded Program on Immunisation, Dr Mukhtar Ahmed said training of trainers (ToT) will provide master trainers who will facilitate cascade micro-planning trainings at the district and tehsil levels.
The workshop covered major areas including human resource, logistics forecast, vaccine cold chain assessment & requirements, AEFI Case Reporting and Management and Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM).
