‘No decision on Mardan mayor’

MARDAN: A local leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday said the party leadership would decide the candidate for the slot of Madan’s mayor.
Talking to The News, Haris Khan Toru, who is the son of former inspector general of police Fayyaz Khan Toru, said it was up to the party leadership to make a decision as to who would be the candidate for the mayor’s slot. He added that there could be many aspirants for the slot, but the final decision rested with the party leadership. Haris Toru added one should avoid triggering a controversy on this issue as it could undermine the party. He said party workers should stay united.
