PPP doesn’t advertise its achievements: Rehman Malik

Former interior minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday said two former prime ministers of PPP Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Syed Yusaf Raza Gillani were victims of injustice.
Rehman Malik was speaking at a function at Lahore High Court Bar Association in connection with 88th birth anniversary of late ZA Bhutto.
Rehman Malik said Bhutto had put efforts to unite the Muslim world and western forces joined hands with forces in Pakistan to abolish his ideology. However, he said, the ideology of Bhutto was still alive in the hearts of poor of Pakistan. He said Bhutto family was a tale of martyrs that could not be eliminated.
He was of the view that the rising leader of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto, was not a child but an energetic young man who endeavoured very difficult time in his young age.
Criticising the government, he said PPP never advertised even its big achievements. He said PPP was not a party of advertisements.
About Pak-India ties, the former interior minister said Indian could never be a friend of Pakistan. He said Pakistan would have to be very vigilant about its enemies. He denied involvement of Pakistan in Pathankot airbase attacks.
He advised Indian premier Modi to mend his authoritative attitude and avoid leveling baseless allegations against Pakistan.
PPP Punjab President Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, PLF, Punjab president, Khurram Latif Khosa, LHCBA President Pir Masood Chishti and others spoke. At the end, a cake cutting ceremony was held to celebrate birthday of late ZA Bhutto.
