Cop suspended for ‘misbehaving’ with couple
ABBOTTABAD: District Police Officer (DPO) Zahoor Babar Afridi has suspended the traffic warden, who reportedly misbehaved with a couple travelling to Nathiagali a few days back.
The DPO appointed Additional SP Abbottabad Malik Ejaz as inquiry officer to hold an inquiry into the incident. It may be recalled that a couple was arrested in the limits of Dungagali Police Station after a brawl with a traffic constable Nadeem.
An FIR was also registered by the police against the couple travelling to Nathiagali when a road was blocked due to VVIP movement as Prime Minister Imran Khan was returning to Islamabad after spending Eid at Nathiagali.
The couple and other family members alleged that the traffic warden had injured the husband of the woman. They had also submitted an application to the police seeking action against the cop in question.
