BAHAWALPUR: District Police Officer Muhammad Faisal Kamran visited Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park and inspected security of Chinese engineers.
A spokesman for Bahawalpur police said that the IGP had issued directions to further tighten the security of Chinese engineers who had been working at different projects in several areas of the province. “Following the directives of the IGP, the DPO visited the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park and inspected the security of Chinese engineers,” he said. The spokesman said that the DPO also held a meeting with the officials of Desert Rangers and other law enforcement agencies at the solar park.
Consumers urged to get receipts from shopkeepers: Assistant Director (Legal), District Consumer Protection Council, Zeenat Mazhar has urged the consumers to get receipts from the shopkeepers when they purchase precious items.
Talking to media here, she said that the District Consumer Protection Council was established for the protection of rights of the consumers. She said that when the people purchased items from the shopkeepers they should demand receipts from them. She said that the consumers could approach the District Consumer Protection Council if they had complaints about standard, guaranty and warranty of the purchased items.
JI raises voice for rights of Kashmiris: Jamaat-e-Islami South Punjab naib ameer Syed Zeeshan Akhtar said that the JI always raised its voice to protect the rights of Kashmiris.
In a press release here, he said that it was the Jamaat-e-Islami which always raised its voice to protect the rights of the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). He said that Indian forces had been victimising the innocent people of Kashmir for the last several decades. He appealed to the international community to come forward to stop India from doing violence against innocent Kashmiris.
Call for regularisation of contractual employees: The Pakistan Health Support Staff Association has demanded the authorities regularise services of contractual and daily wager employees of Bahawal Victoria Hospital and Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur.
A meeting of the Pakistan Health Support Staff Bahawalpur chapter was held here which was chaired by its president Asim Mahmood. The meeting was also attended by chairman Mushtaq Khokhar, general secretary Asif Nawaz Baloch, finance secretary Muhammad Azam, press secretary Rahman Sikandar Yousufzai and large number of the members. The meeting expressed its concern that the contractual and daily wage employees of Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital and Quaid-e-Azam Medical College had been awaiting regularisation of their services for the long time. They urged the authorities concerned to take practical steps in this regard without any further delay.
