MQM-P announces rally against Sindh govt in Hyderabad
Encouraged by the ‘positive response’ of Karachi’s residents in its July 3 rally, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Saturday announced another rally in Hyderabad on July 31 as part of its ongoing protest campaign against the ‘biased’ policies of the Pakistan Peoples Party-led Sindh government targeting the urban areas of the province.
The rally will be held at noon from Pirabad to Koh-e-Noor Chowk on July 31.
MQM-P Senior Deputy Convener Aamir Khan said that after Karachi, Hyderabad was the second-largest city in Sindh, but the biased and incompetent SIndh government had turned the city into ruins.
“Not only the urban centres but also other cities of Sindh, including Larkana, Sanghar, Sukkur and Dadu, were also deprived of basic amenities,” he added.
The MQM-P leader said that a similar rally would later be organised in Mirpurkhas, after which the party would hold a protest sit-in outside the Sindh Chief Minister House.
