Man confesses to killing ‘missing’ father
BAHAWALPUR: A man has confessed to killing his ‘missing’ father and burying his body near Dera Izzat.
Zahoor Hussain reported to Cantonment police on January 2 that his brother Maj (retd) Haq Nawaz of Basti Malook Shah had gone missing. He doubted that Haq Nawaz’ son Adnan Haider had kidnapped him along with his accomplices. After registering a case, police started investigation and succeeded to arrest accused Adnan from Rawalpindi. During preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to killing his father. On his pointation, police recovered the body of Haq Nawaz, which was buried near Dera Izzat. According to the family sources, accused Adnan had developed differences with his father over the flour mill ownership, which forced him to commit the crime.

BAHAWALPUR: A man was killed by his second wife with the help of her brothers at Farooq Colony on Monday night.
According to Chishtian City police, landowner Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto of Chak 43, Fateh, was allegedly murdered by his second wife Shamshad Bibi with the help of her brothers. His three-year-old son Ali Raza from his first wife is missing. According to the family, Ali was sleeping with his father at the time of the incident.
