KARACHI: Three young squash players from Lahore are to start their international career as they have got wildcards for the $6000 Pakistan Independence Open to be held in Lahore from August 10-14.
Ashab Irfan, Azlan Khawar, and Usman Nadeem got wildcards to play this PSA international event.
The status of the event is Challenger 10 but it offers half prize money as allowed by PSA. It is open to only the domestic players.
The draw is of 32 players (16 seeds, 3 wildcards).
According to the entry list, Tayyab Aslam is top seed, Asim Khan second and Ammad Fareed third. It is pertinent to mention here that seven under-19 players are playing this event.
