Court issues arrest warrants for 3 accused
PESHAWAR: The accountability court here on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for three accused persons charged with corruption in Jalozai Housing Scheme Nowshera.
The accountability court judge Tariq Yousafzai issued arrest warrants for three accused persons Nisar Hussain, Momin and Beradar Khan, property dealers, after they failed to appear before the court despite the court’s several notices. The court asked the police officers to ensure appearance of the three accused persons in the case.
The NAB prosecutor said that all the three property dealers with the connivance of the government officials embezzled millions of rupees in the Jalozai Housing Scheme. The NAB had already filed a reference in the court against the Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) Director General Muhammad Javed and other officials for alleged misappropriation of funds in Jalozai Housing Scheme in Nowshera. The NAB KP has claimed that KP government allocated billions of rupees to acquire land for the scheme and handed over responsibilities of the project to Muhammad Javed.
