SUKKUR: Former Sindh chief minister Mumtaz Ali Bhutto was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard, while the funeral was offered at his native village Mirpur Bhutto on Monday.
Reports said a large number of people from all walks of life, including political personalities attended the funeral. The funeral was attended by Junior Zulfiqar (grandson of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto), former senator Dr Safdar Abbasi, Sindh MPA Moazzam Abbasi, JUI-F Molana Rashid Mehmood Soomro, PTI MPA Aslam Abro, Sardar Amir Khan Bhutto. The body was brought to his native village by his son Ali Haider Bhutto from Karachi to Mirpur Bhutto. It is pertinent to mention that the veteran politician fought against General Ayub Khan along with his cousin and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and later he became Sindh chief minister.
