Suspected robber in handcuffs escapes from Malir Court
A suspect arrested on robbery charges escaped from the Malir Court on Monday. It is yet to be ascertained if the court police had committed negligence or if they were involved in the incident.
Police said Abdul Hadi, son of Shahji, was brought to the Malir Court for his hearing, adding that he was in the custody of the court police, from which he managed to escape while he was still in handcuffs.
Malir City SHO Chaudhry Aslam said the suspect had been arrested by the Sachal police, who had registered FIR No. 441/21 under Section 397 of the Pakistan Penal Code against him.
The police officer said that the suspect was brought to court, from where he escaped by jumping off from the second floor of the building.
Police said that legal action will be taken against the court police for their negligence, adding that it is yet to be ascertained if the court police had committed negligence or if they were involved in the incident.
