NOWSHERA: Cantonment Board, Nowshera, Chief Executive Officer Zofishan Manzoor on Sunday said that the board had collected record Rs501 million revenue despite the coronavirus pandemic.
“The collected revenue would be spent on the cantt area to develop it along modern lines to facilitate the residents,” she told reporters during a briefing here.
The official said that the historic Jinnah Park had been further developed to make it a better recreational spot for the cantt dwellers.
She said that a zoo was established besides setting up a unique Food Street, Civil Mess, Golf Ground and Children Park, which increased the beauty of Jinnah Park.
She said that offal of sacrificial animals would be disposed of on time during the coming Eidul Azha to ensure clean and neat atmosphere in the cantt area.
The official also warned the land mafia and said that no one would be allowed to grab government property.
She said strict action would be taken against the land grabbers and all those, who violated the CB rules and regulation.
Zofishan said that Station Commander Brigadier Amir Rashid was himself monitoring the ongoing mega development projects in the Nowshera Cantt area to provide maximum facilities to the inhabitants.
She also announced the schedule for the Nowshera and Chirat cantonments boards elections, saying that holding fair and free polls would be ensured.
