LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar paid a surprise visit to the cattle market at Shahpur Kanjran, on Sunday.
He reviewed security measures at the market and sought information from traders and buyers about security arrangements. He said that a police help desk had been set up for safe transfer of money of traders and they could avail police protection at any time for their convenience. He directed the police officers and personnel to keep a close watch on the militants and suspicious objects. He also directed the SP Dolphin Squad to monitor the patrolling teams in the vicinity of the markets.
He directed the CTO Lahore to take steps against improper parking, encroachments and one-way traffic in the markets. He said that citizens should have no problem in accessing the markets.
