PESHAWAR: University of Peshawar has cleared more than 100 research proposals of PhD candidates since the beginning of the year 2021.
A spokesman for the university said that a large number of PhD students had been stuck with their research proposals in recent years in the UoP. However, the incumbent UoP Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Idrees has expedited ASRB sessions and research work in the university.
The university also held its 8th Advanced Studies Research Board (ASRB) meeting of the current year on Thursday. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammed Idrees presided over the 8th ASRB meeting.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Abid, Prof Dr Niaz Mohammad, Prof Dr Mohammad Tanveer Abdullah, Prof Dr Mohammad Rauf, and Dr Mohammad Saeed, Prof Dr Mohammad Anwar, Prof Dr Zahid Anwar, Dr Mohammed Saleem and Dr Arashad Ali also attended the session.
The meeting participants discussed 18 different topics of PhD studies, and approved 13 of them whereas the rest of the 4 scholars were asked to revise their work and resubmit it.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Idrees congratulated the successful candidates and stated that their studies would contribute to the education sector and raise awareness in the community and country.
