CM House funds: PIC summons CM Secretariat official
LAHORE: The Punjab Information Commission (PIC) under the Right to Information Act has summoned the deputy secretary (Admin), CM Secretariat, for not providing details of the expenditures and discretionary funds of the CM House. These directions were given during the hearing of the Abdullah Malik vs PIO, Public Information Officer, CM Secretariat, case. Section Officer Welfare (three) SAGAD Shahzad Ahmed said he wrote three letters on June 30, July 6 and July 12 to the secretary to know about Rs 2 crore allocated for the year 2020-21 and their usage till December 31, 2020. But till now, there are no directions on making public this information. After the hearing, the PIC directed that the secretary should inform the commission after publishing the information till August 3.
